Parents: Here’s how to get out of bath and bed duty

Okay parents, let’s be honest. We love spending time with our kids, but sometimes we could use a break from the nightly routine of baths and bedtime.

Am I right? Too bad there’s not an app for that!

The other night I was in the middle of giving both kids a bath and putting them both to bed, (I know, Dad of the Year stuff, right?!) pondering how I’d gotten into that situation…when it hit me.

You see, I was actually doing this because my wife wasn’t at home.

I was doing this because she had the perfect excuse for getting out of bath and bed duty that night. She was at…a Bible study.

I mean, you can’t argue with that!

In fact, I was upset that I didn’t think of it first. It’s perfect. Perfect.

“Do you mind giving both kids a bath and putting them to bed tonight? I’ve got Bible study.”

“Um, no. I’m going to need you to stay home because I don’t really want to give both kids a bath.”

Yeah, you can’t say that.

Hey, the Bible says that each of us will have to give an account of himself.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to have to give an account for that! I don’t want to be the guy that wouldn’t let his wife go to Bible study. How would I explain that one?! Thanks, but no thanks.

So parents…how do you get out of bath and bed duty, guaranteed every time? Sign up for a Bible study!

Want to take it to the next level? Host a Bible study in your own home…

Not only will you get out of bath and bed duty, you’ll have your spouse helping you clean up the house too!

You’re welcome.
